Matthias Eggertsson DIBA

Matthias Eggertsson has a Doctoral of International Business Administration (DIBA) degree from the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Eggertsson is currently a full time faculty member at Keiser University, Fort Lauderdale, where he teaches international business courses to the MBA students.

Dr. Eggertsson also runs an international marketing and consulting organization, Eggertsson Trading, Inc., where he supplies genuine USA brand names to the air conditioning and refrigration industry. Dr. Eggertsson is also available for business consulting; he helps business with the following:

Research Interests

My research interests lie primarily in the international marketing and management field. The research in my dissertation focused on country of origin and branding in a B2B context. The purpose of the study was to determine the relative importance of country of manufacture and country of brand again relative to the functioned attributes of industrial products, where I used air conditioning and refrigeration compressor industry participants for my data collection. I will be looking at other industries for future research in the same field.

I am also interested in researching micro-states and the effects from the global recession. Have the smaller nations lost trust outside of their borders? Also what is the cost of keeping independent currency and then when and how should a nation consider transform into larger unit like euro, US dollar, or any other available?

If given the opportunity, I hope to develop a course that looks at cultural transformation of organizations using country of origin and country of brand origin based on the research from my dissertation.
