Matthias Eggertsson DIBA

Matthias Eggertsson has a Doctoral of International Business Administration (DIBA) degree from the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Eggertsson is currently a full time faculty member at Keiser University, Fort Lauderdale, where he teaches international business courses to the MBA students.

Dr. Eggertsson also runs an international marketing and consulting organization, Eggertsson Trading, Inc., where he supplies genuine USA brand names to the air conditioning and refrigration industry. Dr. Eggertsson is also available for business consulting; he helps business with the following:

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that the essence of sound teaching is mixing theory with antidotal commentary in order to give the theory a relative validity to the students. In this sense I generally draw on my international business experience connecting this back to the work-related and cultural backgrounds of the students. My years as an entrepreneur in the international marketing industry can bring a real life experience to the classroom. I am very comfortable making presentations and have developed sensitivity to the knowledge and experience of the group that I am presenting to. I have found that by observing the body language and the types of questions being asked it is possible to develop a sense of how well the presentation is being received and understood. Based on what I sense I will generally make ad hoc changes to the content in order to derive the greatest mutual benefit to the group and to myself.
