If you have been in an accident or need other medical assistance. In case of death. Lost passport. In case of an arrest. In the event of a hurricane or any other disaster. In case of an emergency, where public help is needed. This is intended for all Icelandic citizens.
What we do not do:
Anything that is not legal. Interfere with USA officials, or try to intervene with their legal decisions. Arrange travel arrangements, get a visa or work permit, locating housing or employment. Finance expenses in case of emergencies, e.g. lawyer, translator, medical etc. Take on the duty as your lawyer. Get charges dropped or persons freed that have been arrested.
What we can do:
Issue an emergency passport. Acquire an absentee ballot or pre-election voting. Provide advice on transferring funds from Iceland. Help with medical assistance. Assistance in getting a hold of family or friends. Assistance in finding an attorney, translator or any other specialists. Visit people that have been arrested, depending on circumstances and significance of the nature. Help with emergency evacuations in case of disaster, based on Iceland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs action plan. Assistance with transporting deceased Icelandic citizens back to Iceland.
